MASBOD LONDON — SERVICES
Consignment
Selling a valuable pair yourself means photos, listings, buyer messages, and the risk of a bad-faith buyer or a fake accusation. Consignment means we handle all of it — authenticated, priced, listed, and sold on your behalf.
How it works
Your pair is authenticated as a standard first step, priced against real current demand rather than a guess, listed properly with genuine photography, and handled through to sale — including buyer communication and safe payment collection. You're kept updated throughout, not left wondering what's happening with your own property.
Authentication included
Every consigned pair goes through our authentication process before listing. This isn't just for buyer confidence — it protects you too, catching any issue before it becomes a dispute after a sale.
Pricing guidance
We price against actual current market demand for that specific pair and condition, not a generic formula. If a price expectation seems unrealistic in either direction, we'll tell you honestly before listing, not after weeks with no interest.
Commission, not a flat fee
We only make money when your pair sells — commission is a percentage of the final sale price, typically between 10% and 20% depending on value and expected demand, confirmed with you before anything is listed. No upfront charge, no fee if it doesn't sell.
What this looks like in practice
A member has a rare pair they no longer wear but haven't wanted to deal with the hassle of selling themselves. It's authenticated, priced against current comparable sales, photographed properly, and listed. Two weeks later it sells to a verified buyer, and payment is transferred to the member minus the agreed commission — no back-and-forth, no risk of a bad-faith buyer.

Frequently asked
How much commission do you take?
Commission is typically between 10% and 20% of the final sale price, depending on the pair's value and expected demand. The exact rate is confirmed with you before your pair is listed — never after it sells.
How long does it typically take to sell a pair?
This varies significantly by pair — a genuinely rare or in-demand item can sell within days, while a more niche pair may take longer. We'll give you an honest view of expected demand before you consign.
What happens if my pair doesn't sell?
If a pair hasn't sold within the agreed consignment period, we'll discuss options with you — adjusting the price, extending the listing, or returning the pair to you with no obligation to continue.
