Cleaning
A proper clean is done by hand, with the right products for the actual material in front of us — not a generic wipe-down or a machine wash that risks the pair more than it helps it.
Material-specific, every time
Suede, leather, canvas, and knit all behave completely differently, and treating them the same way is how pairs get damaged rather than cleaned. Each pair is assessed on arrival and cleaned with products and techniques matched to its actual materials.
Standard vs deep clean
A standard clean covers regular rotation pairs — everyday soiling, scuffing, general wear. A deep clean goes further: heavier staining, ground-in dirt, and general neglect that's built up over time. We'll recommend the right service once we've actually seen the pair, not before.
Collection & delivery
Collection and delivery is available across Essex and London, so your pairs don't need to leave your hands until they're actually being worked on. For members further afield, secure postal options are available too.
What we won't do
If a pair is genuinely too fragile, too damaged, or too valuable to risk with a standard clean, we'll say so rather than take the job anyway. Some pairs need restoration, not cleaning — and we'd rather tell you that upfront than return a pair we've made worse.
What this looks like in practice
A member sends in a pair of suede trainers with visible watermarking from being caught in the rain. Standard cleaning products would make suede staining worse, not better — so the pair goes through our specialist suede process instead, with the nap properly restored rather than just wiped over.

How long does a clean take?
Standard cleans are typically turned around in 3 to 5 business days. Deep cleans and specialist suede work can take a little longer, and we'll confirm timing before starting.
What if my pair can't be fully cleaned?
We'll always tell you honestly if a pair has damage or staining that cleaning alone won't fully resolve, and flag whether restoration would help, rather than overpromising a result we can't deliver.
