Not everyone with a collection worth looking after happens to live in Essex or London — which is exactly why postal cleaning and restoration exists. Here's exactly how it works, start to finish.
Order first, then post
Choose your service and order online as normal. You'll get a confirmation email with the address to send your pair to — there's no separate booking process for postal orders, it's the same checkout either way.
Packaging that actually protects your pair
A surprising amount of transit damage comes down to packaging, not the courier. A few things that make a real difference:
- Separate bags for each shoe — stops colour or dirt transferring between them during transit
- An outer box, not just the original shoebox — shoeboxes are designed for retail display, not for surviving a courier depot
- Padding that stops movement — paper, bubble wrap, or the tissue that came with the shoes, packed snugly rather than loose
- A note with your name and order number — paperwork gets separated from parcels more often than people expect
Choosing the right shipping service
For anything of real value, tracked and insured shipping is worth the extra cost — Royal Mail Tracked or a reputable courier both work well. It's a small cost against the value of what's actually in the box.
What turnaround actually looks like
Our stated service turnarounds start once we've received your pair, not once you've posted it — so the honest total is your service turnaround plus shipping time each way. For a Standard Clean at 3–5 business days, that's typically 7–13 days door to door depending on where you're posting from and which shipping speed you choose.
Staying updated along the way
You'll know when your pair has arrived safely, and we'll let you know as soon as it's on its way back — postal shouldn't mean losing visibility of where your shoes actually are.
